McKenzie River Inn (Artist) Retreats & Workshops
Founded in 1978 as a Bed and Breakfast, our resort as grown out as a spectacular unique place for artists, teachers and instructors alike. This scenic acreage is all about workshops, in residence artists and community events, while maintaining a facility appropriate to its setting in the heart of the Cascade Mountain range close to an incredible environment on the banks of the mighty McKenzie river. A place where a diverse group of people and ideas converge, co-mingle and excel in their creativity.
Our resort provides artists, writers, musicians, leather carvers, fly-fishing instructors, (cowboy-) boot makers the opportunity to conduct their work while deeply engaging with the temperate rainforest environment of the Cascade mountains and as part of a unique Oregon micro climate.
Couple’s Retreats features Double workshops with multiple instructors with smaller projects offered to couples (either married, friends etc) that they can select from daily projects and excursions.
Fly fishing will be the main theme of these retreats, so we will be looking for unisex style projects that may have a fishing or birding twist. Wine tasting, bird watching, hiking, waterfall
viewing, whitewater rafting etc. can be part of this curriculum.
